On or about Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one person dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Highway 2 in Sterlington, Louisiana.
Officials from the Louisiana State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the passenger vehicle they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down Highway 2. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead a short time after the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
