Details:
On or about Monday, April 12th, 2021, around 3:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one person dead. Officials from the State Police said the accident was reported along Highway 200 just outside Thompson Falls, Montana.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person died when their Buick Skylark allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and struck an 18-wheeler in the oncoming lanes. The tractor-trailer and the car skidded off the side of the road after the initial collision. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the Buick dead a short time after the crash.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened a short distance from Thompson Falls, which is about 101 miles northwest of Missoula.
Police hope to release more information at a later date.
