On or about Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of State Highway 22 and Myers Road in Yakima, Washington.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the car they were drivi8ng allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of State Highway 22 and Myers Road when it collided with a tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the crash.
According to Google Maps, Yakima County is about 161 miles southeast of Seattle.
Police are still working to pin down all the factors that may have led to the accident.
