On or about Wednesday, November 11th, 2020, sometime before 6:30 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers and a car left one person dead. Investigators said the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 27 near the intersection with Main Street in South Bay, Florida.

Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when an Amazon tractor-trailer, a flatbed truck, and a red passenger vehicle collided in a chain-reaction accident. Police did not specify how the accident may have started. At least one individual was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Images of the accident scene show Highway 27 is four lanes, with a shared turn lane dividing north and southbound traffic. South Bay is located about 48 miles west of West Palm Beach.

Police are still investigating the accident, and hope to release more information at a later date.
