On or about Friday, December 18th, 2020, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left one person dead. Department of Public Safety Troopers said the accident happened along Highway 302 just outside Kermit in Winkler County, Texas.
Officers said one person died after a Chevrolet Silverado and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. Paramedics pronounced one as-of-yet unidentified individual dead at the scene of the accident.
Google Maps puts the scene of the accident about five miles east of Kermit, which is about 258 miles west of El Paso. Google Streetview shows Highway 302 is two lanes that run east and west through the area.
Texas DPS Troopers are assisting in the accident investigation.
