Details:
On or about Saturday, January 29th, 2022, around 9:09 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 395 in Adelanto, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 359. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Adelanto is about 84 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
