Details:
On or about Monday, June 21st, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one man dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Highway 52 at or near the intersection with Belvidere Street in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they were allegedly struck by a passing tractor-trailer as they were walking down or making an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 52. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries at the scene a short time after they responded to the call. Officers did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 52 runs north and south, with the intersection of Belvidere Street situated a short distance south of downtown St. Paul.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
