On or about Tuesday, September 28th, 2021, a fiery accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left one individual dead. Deputies from the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred on Highway 58 near the intersection with Strayer Street in Hudson, Iowa.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided head-on while traveling opposite directions on Highway 58. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not indicate how the accident may have started.
According to Google Maps, Highway 58 runs north and south through Hudson, which is about 103 miles northeast of Des Moines.
