Details:
On or about Thursday, February 17th, 2022, around 8:00 in thee morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler with tandem trailers left one person dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 59 in Wharton County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving and a tandem tractor-trailer collided head-on when one of them may have crossed over the center line of the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced one of the truck drivers dead of their injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Wharton County is about 58 miles southwest of downtown Houston.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
