On or about Saturday, March 13th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and another vehicle left at least one person dead. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened along State Highway 64 just outside Arp in Smith County, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when an 18-wheeler and a car collided under unspecified circumstances near FM 2089. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Arp, which is roughly 119 miles southeast of the Dallas area.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
