On or about Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck claimed the life of one person. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident happened on Highway 84 near Highway 28 in Jones County, Mississippi.
Mississippi State Police said one person died when their pickup truck allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer in the eastbound lanes. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead at the scene of the collision.
