On or about Monday, August 23rd, 2021, around 2:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the life of a woman. Troopers from the CHP said the accident occurred along Highway 99 near the intersection with North Avenue in Fresno, California.
California Highway Patrol Troopers said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the car she was driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer on the shoulder of Highway 99. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead a short time after the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the incidnet.
According to Google Maps, Highway 99 runs east and west through the center of Fresno.
Police are still investigating.
