Details:
On or about Thursday, November 4th, 2021, a major accident between two tractor-trailers claimed the life of a 69-year-old Humboldt man. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Highway 23 in a rural part of Pipestone County, Minnesota.
Police from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 69-year-old man was killed when a tractor-trailer driven by 23-year-old Jacob Gelderman struck his semi truck while Gelderman was attempting a turn. Paramedics pronounced the 69-year-old man dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or after being taken to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, Pipestone County is about 197 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis.
State and local law enforcement are investigating.
