On or about Thursday, December 10th, 2020, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a woman. Highway Patrol spokespeople said the accident happened at Hood’s Service Center in Bois D’Arc, Missouri.
Law enforcement representatives said an as-of-yet unidentified woman died when she was hit by a tractor-trailer while walking in the parking lot of Hood’s Service Center. Emergency response personnel pronounced the woman dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Hood’s Service Center, Inc is located just a few hundred feet off the westbound lanes of Interstate 44. Bois D’Arc is situated roughly 15 miles northwest of Springfield.
Police are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
