Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 8th, 2021, around 5:45 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Officials from the MSHP said the accident was reported in the southbound lanes of Interstate 270 in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a passing box truck as they were walking on or near the interstate. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Big Bend Boulevard, which is situated on the western side of St. Louis.
Multiple agencies are still investigating the accident.
