Details:
On or about Friday, October 30th, 2020, sometime before 10:00 in the morning, an accident between two cars and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. State Police said the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 between Flat Shoals Road and Bouldercrest Road in Dekalb County, Georgia.
Troopers from the GSP said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer and two cars collided under unknown conditions. One person was trapped in their vehicle following the accident. Paramedics pronounced one individual dead after the accident.
Interstate 285 is shown as an eight lane major interstate, with a concrete barrier dividing east and westbound traffic. Either side of the roadway is heavily wooded just off the pavement. The area is located on the eastern side of the greater Atlanta area.
Police expect to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
