Details:
On or about Thursday, November 5th, 2020, around 1:45 in the morning, a tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a pedestrian. Authorities said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 35 under the Independence Avenue overpass in Kansas City, Missouri.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle while he was walking down or trying to cross the lanes of traffic. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
State Police said this was the 93rd fatality on the roads this year.
Representatives from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene.
