Details:
On or about Thursday, January 7th, 2021, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 27-year-old man. Investigators said the accident happened on Interstate 4 near the exchange with State Road 532 just outside Tampa, Florida.
Troopers from the FHP said one as-of-yet unidentified 27-year-old man was killed when he was hit by an 18-wheeler as he was walking near or trying to cross the lanes of Interstate 4. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries when they arrived at the scene. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement.
State Troopers are currently looking for anybody who may have witnessed the accident or has any information.
Multiple agencies are currently investigating the incident.
