On or about Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, around 2:20 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a van left one individual dead. Spokespeople from the CHP said the accident was reported along Imperial Avenue in Mountain View, California.
Officials from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the van they were driving allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and struck a tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the van dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Mountain View is about 120 miles southwest of downtown Sacramento.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
