On or about Thursday, June 17th, 2021, around 5:45 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported on the westbound side of Interstate 10 (Katy Freeway) near the exchange with Barker Cypress in Houston, Texas.
Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unknown circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Katy Freeway runs east and west, with the Barker Cypress Road exchange situated on the east side of the Houston area.
Police are still investigating the accident.
