Details:
On or about Thursday, June 24th, 2021, around 10:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left one person dead. Representatives from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 10 just outside Tornillo, Texas in El Paso County, Texas.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly skidded off the eastbound side of I-10 and crashed in the median. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the tractor-trailer dead a short time after they responded to the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs east and west just north of Tornillo, which is about 39 miles southeast of El Paso.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
