Details:
On or about Sunday, December 26th, 2021, sometime in the morning hours, an between a tractor-trailer and a camper claimed the life of one individual. Representatives from the UHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 15 near the exit for Interstate 80 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Troopers from the Utah Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into a camper in the southbound lanes of I-15. Authorities believe the camper driver may have stopped in order to secure or pick up debris in the roadway. Officials are unsure if the victim was in the camper or near it when the tractor-trailer struck. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 15 and Interstate 80 is near the center of Salt Lake City.
