On or about Sunday, April 17th, 2022, around 5:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 19-year-old dead. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 15 in San Diego, California.
Representatives from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified 19-year-old was killed when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Interstate 15. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the exchange with Carroll Canyon Road.
Police are still investigating the incident.
