Details:
On or about Wednesday, July 14th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a man in his 40s dead. Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 15 near the exchange with Speedway Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Troopers from the Nevada State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified man was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as he was walking along or trying to cross the southbound lanes of I-15. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 15 runs north and south through Las Vegas, with the scene of the accident not far from the Speedway Boulevard exit on the northeast side of the city.
Police are still examining all the circumstances that may have contributed to the accident.
