On or about Thursday, November 11th, 2021, around 4:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the life of a 30-year-old man. Authorities said the accident was reported on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Police said 30-year-old Colby Brock Baxley was killed when the car he was in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer on the side of Interstate 26. Paramedics pronounced Baxley dead of his injuries after the accident, while the driver of the pickup truck and the driver of the tractor-trailer were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 26 runs east and west through Spartanburg.
Police are still investigating the accident.
