On or about Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a major chain-reaction accident with a tractor-trailer and six other vehicles left one person dead and sent ten other people to the hospital. Deputies from the Cook County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Interstate 294 in Chicago, Illinois.
Authorities from the Illinois State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and ten other people were injured when a tractor-trailer and six other passenger vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident on I-294. One person was pronounced dead, while ten other people were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Police did not specify which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in at the time of the incident.
