On or about Saturday, February 12th, 2022, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Authorities from the FHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 595 in Davie, Florida.
Spokespeople from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly struck a tractor-trailer that was stopped at the scene of a previous collision. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the vehicle dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 26 miles north of downtown Miami.
Officials are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
