On or about Saturday, June 5th, 2021, around 4:45 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one person dead. Troopers from the NJSP said the accident happened on Interstate 295 in Hamilton, New Jersey.
Officers indicated one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when a car allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped and disabled. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead a short time after the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial report.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 295 runs north and south through Hamilton, which is situated on the east side of Trenton.
State and local law enforcement officials are investigating the accident.
