Details:
On or about Saturday, December 4th, 2021, around 2:35 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 30 just outside Greenville in Hunt County, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-tailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the westbound lanes of I-30. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance west of Greenville, which is about 51 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
Officers are still investigating the incident.
