On or about Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, around 2:30 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers and a car left one individual dead. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened along Interstate 30 near Hooks in Bowie County, Texas.
Officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck a cow in the roadway and crossed into the eastbound lanes where it struck a Chevrolet Malibu and another 18-wheeler. The driver of the eastbound tractor-trailer was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported following the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 30 runs north and south along the northern edge of Hooks.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
