On or about Friday, June 24th, 2022, around 2:57 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Officials from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer along Interstate 35. Emergency responders pronounced one person in the car dead of their injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Wells Branch Parkway.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
