Details:
On or about Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021, around 3:22 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left one person dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened in the 4900 block of Interstate 35 near Airport Boulevard in Austin, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Airport Boulevard. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. The tractor-trailer stopped a short distance down the roadway in the 5100 block of I-35.
Interstate 35 runs north and south through the center of Austin, with the scene of the accidnet a short distance from the upper and lower deck split.
Officials are still investigating.
