On or about Friday, February 12th, 2022, around 3:18 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle left one individual dead. Representatives from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 35’s lower deck in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the motorcycle they were on and a passenger vehicle collided under unspecified circumstances while driving on the northbound side of I-35’s lower deck. Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead after the accident, but it is not clear if they died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northeast side of Austin.
Authorities are still trying to pin down the cause of the accident.
