Details:
On or about Saturday, April 17th, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer in a construction zone left one individual dead. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 435 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their car allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer hauling construction equipment in a construction zone on the interstate. Police did not clarify if the truck was related to the nearby construction. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the car dead at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near Worlds of Fun, which is situated on the northeast side of Kansas City, according to Google Maps.
Authorities are still working to pin down the specifics of what may have caused the accident.
