Details:
On or about Saturday, June 12th, 2021, around 5:15 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left one man dead. Authorities from the ISP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 465 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was walking down or making an attempt to cross the southbound lanes of Interstate 465. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated not far from the exchange with Interstate 74 on the south side of Indianapolis.
Authorities are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
