On or about Saturday, March 12th, 2022, around 6:35 in the morning, a serious accident between a passenger vehicle and a mattress that had fallen from a truck left one individual dead. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 5 just outside 220th Street in Snohomish, Washington.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly collided with a mattress that had fallen from the bed of a truck along I-5. After the initial collision with the mattress, the passenger vehicle allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer nearby. Paramedics pronounced one person in the vehicle dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
