On or about Sunday, September 12th, 2021, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Officials from the WSP said the accident occurred along the northbound side of Interstate 5 near the exchange with Interstate 405 in Tukwila, Washington.
Officials from the Washington State Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler collided under unknown circumstances in the northbound lanes of I-5. One person was pronounced dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 5 runs north and south through Tukwila, which is about 12 miles south of downtown Seattle.
Police are still investigating.
