Details:
On or about Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one person dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 69 in Harlingen, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Interstate 69. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the incident is not far from the exchange with Wilson Road.
Multiple agencies responded to assist after the accident.
