On or about Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left a 41-year-old man dead. Investigators from the MSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 69 in Shiawassee County, Michigan.
Deputies from the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified 41-year-old man was killed when his pickup truck allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the eastbound shoulder of I-69. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the pickup truck dead of his injuries at the scene.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 69 runs east and west through Shiawassee County, which is situated about 92 miles northwest of downtown Detroit.
State and local law enforcement agencies assisted at the scene.
