On or about Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, around 7:30 in the evening, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 70 in Clay County, Indiana.

Troopers from the Indiana State Police said one person was killed and another was injured when a tractor-trailer and another semi truck collided under unknown conditions. Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene, while another person was rushed to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west through the center of Clay County, which is located just east of Terre Haute.

Police are still investigating the accident.
