On or about Monday, November 8th, 2021, a major single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of one individual. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 70 in Licking County, Ohio.

Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly veered off the eastbound side of Interstate 70 and slammed into a bridge pillar. Paramedics rushed the truck driver to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west along the southern edge of Licking County, which is about 40 miles northeast of downtown Columbus.

Police are still investigating the crash.
