One Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Interstate 70 near Salina in Sevier County

On or about Saturday, December 18th, 2021, around 7:30 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a tandem tractor-trailer claimed the life of one woman. Troopers from the UHP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 70 just outside Saline in Sevier County, Utah.

Officers from the Utah Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the tractor-trailer she was driving allegedly collided with a tandem tractor-trailer that was traveling with lights and flashers on I-70. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if she died at the scene or after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Saline, which is about 139 miles south of Salt Lake CIty.
