On or about Sunday, August 22nd, 2021, around 2:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a van towing a trailer left one individual dead. Officials from the OSHP said the accident occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 71 in Pickaway County, Ohio.
Investigators from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the van towing a trailer they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions along northbound I-71. The driver of the van was ejected and died a short time after being airlifted to the hospital. Authorities did not mention any other injuries in their report on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 71 runs north and south through Pickaway, which is about 21 miles south of downtown Columbus.
