On or about Friday, January 21st, 2022, around 10:40 at night, a serious accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along Interstate 80 in Tooele County, Utah.
Officials from the Utah Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they were walking or possibly riding a skateboard along Interstate 80. Paramedics airlifted the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 11 miles away from the Nevada state line.
