Details:
On or about Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, around 6:00 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left at least one individual dead. Troopers from the PSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 81 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
Investigators said at least one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a car allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the southbound shoulder of Interstate 81. Emergency responders pronounced at least one person dead of their injuries at the scene. Police did not elaborate on the conditions of the other people involved.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 81 runs north and south through Franklin County, which is situated on the Maryland state line in southern Pennsylvania.
Police are still examining the factors that may have led to the accident.
