Details:
On or about Monday, November 1st, 2021, around 12:19 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a woman. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 82 near Yakima, Washington.
Authorities from the Washington State Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer after she may have exited a pickup truck while driving down the roadway. After exiting the pickup the woman was hit by a tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 82 winds east and west through Yakima, which is about 142 miles southeast of downtown Seattle.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
