Details:
On or about Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, a serious collision between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Officials from the CSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 84 in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer while traveling west on I-84. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead from his injuries when they arrived at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance east of downtown Hartford.
Police are still examining the cause of the collision.
