On or about Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, around 4:54 in the afternoon, a serious tractor-trailer accident left one individual dead. Troopers from the GSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 85 in Hart County, Georgia.
Representatives from the Georgia State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 85 and crashed into a number of trees in a wooded patch a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the tractor-trailer dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Exit 177.
Police are still trying to determine what happened in the accident.
