Details:
On or about Friday, October 1st, 2021, around 10:40 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the life of a 38-year-old Billings woman. Troopers from the MHP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 90 just outside Columbus, Montana.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified 38-year-old woman was killed when her car allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer that had just pulled into her path from a rest stop along eastbound I-90. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after the collision. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 90 runs east and west through the Columbus area, which is about 41 miles southwest of Billings.
Officials are still examining the incident.
