Details:
On or about Thursday, March 17th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a serious accident with a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one person dead. Representatives from the GSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Port Wentworth, Georgia.
Investigators from the Georgia State Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on an I-95 ramp. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the accident.
According Google Maps, Interstate 95 cuts north and south through Port Wentworth, which is situated on the northwest side of the greater Savannah area.
Police are still accident.
